Soul of Japan 

As I read more about Japan, this small booklet came to light. It was given to me by Shinto priests who wrote it. I read it and it sits now on my desk. The priests seemed surprised that the PDF of the booklet on their website has over 3 million downloads. 

I recommend reading Soul of Japan. It is short but dense with insight. Well written.
