Military Comfort Women -- Kakou Senda
While searching for an English or German version of the book/movie "Military Comfort Women," by Kakou Senda, I stumbled upon this so-called news story.
Notice the story accuses the Japanese of enslaving up to 20 million Chinese sex-slaves. (This does not include the Koreans who claim another 200,000-400,000.)
None of this makes sense. Are they claiming that every Japanese Soldier had 10, 20, or 50 sex-slaves? How many Japanese Soldiers even were in China?
The report also claims that a single woman might have to service up to 300 men per day. Let's imagine she can work at the blistering pace of 20 hours per day without stop. That is one man every 4 minutes for 20 hours.
Nonsense.
If there were 20 million sex-slaves, why did one have to serve 300 men per day?
Complete nonsense.
The story of the Loch Ness Monster is easier to believe.
No matter how much effort people put into finding the Loch Ness Monster, or evidence of widespread sex-slavery, we get only grainy photos, out of focus video, suspect witnesses, and people making loads of money on the story.

According to the book titled “The Great East Asia War Ended on April 30, 1975” written by Mamoru Sato, a retired air force officer of Japan’s SDF, “There was a 1,050,000-strong Army under the command of General Neiji Okamura in China, still intact, when Japan accepted the Potsdam Declaration.”

The book also writes that “On August 11, 1945, General Neiji Okamura, Commander of Japan’s China-dispatched Forces sent a telegraph to the Army HQ in Tokyo which states ‘I still have 1 million-strong forces under me, which are sound and effective. I cannot accept unconditional surrender to Chongching Forces.’”

After the fall of Nanking, Chiang Kai-shek fled to Wuhan(武漢)and then to Chongching(重慶), further inland in China. Therefore, the “Chongching Forces” in the above means Chiang Kai-shek’s KMT (Kuo-ming-tang / Nationalist) forces.

So you make take that approximately one million Japanese soldiers were in China (this number was at maximum, because Japan increased the number in piecemeal) just before Japan’s acceptance of unconditional surrender in August, 1945.

After Osaka Mayor Toru Hashimoto’s “gaffe” in May, 2013, which recommended the U.S. Army to use soap-land girls (prostitutes), many US newspapers wrote that “Historians estimate that 200,000 girls were forced to sex slavery by the Imperial Japanese Army” in parrot-like repetition.

Big questions haunted me at that time. Who are those “historians”? From where did the newspaper reporter take the number 200,000-?

To the best of my knowledge, the first person who used the number was Kim Jong Il. He used the number to counter the Japan’s demand of returning Japanese abductees in North Korea. “You kidnapped 200,000 Korean girls and now you demand returning a few abductees!” North Korean diplomats said so in early 2000s in 6-party talks held in Beijing.

If you further trace the source of the number, you will arrive at the article published on January 11, 1992, which is below.
http://www.howitzer.jp/korea/box2/b032.pdf

In this article, the reporter Takashi Uemura wrote: “It is said that Japan mobilized 80,000 to 200,000 comfort girls under the name of the Volunteer Corps. 80% of them were Koreans.”

This article is the first mixed-up of Comfort Women and Volunteer Corps. Of course, the Volunteer Corps is basically “Rosie the Riveter.” The difference was common sense knowledge back in 1992.

So Asahi Shimbun published a baseless hearsay in 1992, and South Koreans believed the article was true in 1990s, and Kim Jong Il used the rumor in S. Korea against us in early 2000 in 6-party talks, and the U.S. politicians pandering Korean immigrants there used the number in comfort women memorials erected in New Jersey, California or elsewhere as fait accompli. The number engraved in metal plates will last over 100 years.

What a farce! Tell me why our government does nothing.

Moguro,

Thank you for this information. We find it helpful. Some of us also have tried to track down who first tossed out the 200,000, and we also think it first came from NORK. They and others just toss numbers around, and some of them actually stick.

The idea that Japan had up to 20 million sex slaves in China alone is ludicrous, and should cause embarrassment for anyone even to say such a number.

I and some associates find it amazing that nobody will believe a word from the NORKs or PRC unless those words are against Japan, and then everyone seems to take the NORKs and PRC at face value.
