イスラム教・ワッハーブ主義とISIS

サウジアラビアのイスラム教・ワッハーブ主義を知らない限りISISを理解することはできない。

ISISを作ったのは米国だと毎日誰かが言っている。

まるで米国が月を作ったので米国旗を立てることができた、と言うのと同じだ。

ISISやアルカイダを米国が作り上げたなどと言うことには何の根拠も無い。

彼らの誰かと何か仕事をしたのか？援助をしたか？　

あぁ、たしかにした。

我々が彼らを作り上げたのか？　それはちがう。

このような状況を解決するのに完全な解はない。誰を支援しても、その誰かはテロリストかもしれないのだ。 誰も支援しないのなら、我々は運命の風任せで生きてゆく、ということだ。試合中の男に、あざ笑ってトマトを投げつけるのは簡単だ。

People continue to say every day that the United States created ISIS. This is about as true as saying the United States created the moon so we could stick some flags on it.

There is no basis in fact that the US created ISIS, or al Qaeda. Did we work with some of them, and even support some of them? Surely we did. Did we create them? No.

There are no perfect solutions when working in such environments. No matter who we support, we support terrorists. If we support nobody, we leave our fate to the winds.

It is easy to sneer and to toss tomatoes at the man in the arena.
